Quick note before you start painting:
- Properly prepare the canvas before starting a new painting.
- Clean your brushes thoroughly between each color and stroke.
- Use a papertowel to wipe off excess paint from the brushes.
- Dilute paints with water when necessary for better control.
- Have fun and let your creativity flow!
Step 1: Tree Line
- With the big oval brush, mix Vandyke Brown and Black to create a tree-line shape on the canvas.
- Use the same brush to create the outline of the trees, keeping it simple.

Step 2: Initial Tree Highlight
- Take pure White paint on a clean oval brush.
- Start mixing the white color into the tree line shape from both the top and bottom.
- Clean the brush and wipe off excess paint before adding more white.
- Continue until you achieve a desired highlight effect.

Step 3: Mid Yellow Tree Highlights and Grass
- Using Yellow Ochre and Mid Yellow on the clean oval brush, apply the color only on the tops of each tree, giving them a distinct shape.
- Ensure that the white behind the trees represents the sky, and the white below will be used for reflections.
- Add some Mid Yellow in between and below the trees to indicate grassy areas.

Step 4: Blurring the Reflections
- Take a 4″ wide oval brush and gently pull the reflection color downward across the canvas, creating a blurry reflection effect.
- Wipe off the oval brush on a papertowel after each stroke to remove excess paint.

Step 5: Adding Depth to the Reflections
- Use an Ultra-soft blending brush with gentle, barely touching strokes to fluff the reflection.
- Wipe off any access paint on a clean paper towel.
- Repeat the same process between the trees to add depth.
- Use palette knife and white paint to indicate water lines and separate land from water
- Soften couple lines by gently gliding your finger across and working it into the canvas

Step 6: Adding Details
- Use a liner brush to create tree trunks in between the tree foliage.
- Utilize a fan brush to add details for the tall grass below the trees.
- Use a custom bristle brush with thin bristles to dab on the canvas and create detailed leaves.

Step 7: Silhouette of the Sun
- Dip your pinky finger into white paint.
- Create a silhouette of the sun in the sky above the tree line.

Step 8: Water Sparkles
- Take a liner brush and dip it into white paint.
- Dilute the paint with water for better fluidity.
- Create small, random water sparkles on the canvas.

Step 9: Signature and Finishing Touches
- Sign your painting in a corner or as desired.
- Take a step back and admire your completed artwork.
